One thing we’ve realized during our short little marriage (as well as in all our other life experience) is that it’s so important to take time to slow down and appreciate the little things in life. It’s not always easy to do, but it can make such a big difference! Our lives have been so incredibly busy lately, but we’ve realized that the most important thing is us being together and when we focus on that, everything else becomes that much better!
Thursday evening we went to dinner with Chantelle and Austin’s family, my dad, and Jonathan. There was a famous chef visiting BYU’s campus and cooking some of her speciality meals, and all of campus was invited to try the dishes. It was very yummy! After dinner, we were walking across campus and the sunset was absolutely beautiful! It was fun to just enjoy the moment together on the campus that brings back so many memories for both of us.
We also stopped by the Computer Science building, where Tom found that a logo he created for the department during his time at BYU is still in use! We even found a couple signs that he’d made which are also still being used!
And of course, the night wouldn’t be complete without a little laughter… As I was trying to take pictures of the sunset, Tom wanted to provide his reaction to how beautiful it was! Honestly, we don’t go a day without laughing and it’s clear to see why!
All in all, it was a great evening and we loved spending the time together! Sunsets are wonderful and beautiful, and it’s amazing how much more so when we share them together!
