This year we held Thanksgiving in a few parts — first, with the immediate Turley family on the actual holiday, next with the extended Turley family the weekend after Thanksgiving, and finally with Mom Bowcut up in Burley at the beginning of December.  Each celebration was special and unique and we truly have so much to be grateful for!

We hosted the immediate Turley family Thanksgiving at our house, which we held on Thanksgiving day.  Everyone fit perfectly and the setting was just great!  We even made homemade pumpkin pies for the occasion!

The weekend after Thanksgiving, we got together with the extended Turley family (over 100 of us!) and it was fun to be able to see so many cousins and family members who we don’t see often.

A week later, we made a trip up to Burley to visit with Mom Bowcut for the holidays.  It actually corresponded with our being able to visit Pete, which was great, as well as the Burley Stake Christmas concert where mom was playing.  We didn’t take too many pictures, but we did manage to snap one of the insanely difficult puzzle Tom and mom worked on and actually finished!  It was a wonderful weekend!

This Thanksgiving we were definitely reminded of how blessed we are, and we hope to always live in such a way that shows our Heavenly Father how thankful we are!

“To express gratitude is gracious and honorable, to enact gratitude is generous and noble, but to live with gratitude ever in our hearts is to touch heaven.”  ~President Thomas S. Monson
