Mother’s Day and Father’s Day were extra special for our little family this year, since we had our sweet little Isaac to celebrate with us! We’ve felt so honored to be this little guy’s parents and it’s fun to have these wonderful holidays to reflect on the special parent-child relationship!
This year we spent Mother’s Day weekend in Burley celebrating with Grandma Helen. She was speaking in Church and even had mommy and Isaac come up to the stand to help her with her message… It was very special!
After church, we went and visited with Uncle Noall Bowcut and it was great to see him. It turned out to actually be his birthday, so we got to sing him Happy Birthday! We also visited with Aunt Vee… Isaac sure loves his great-aunt and great-uncle!
On our way home from Burley, we stopped by Grandma Joan’s to wish her a happy day as well. It was great to see our Turley family also and celebrate Mother’s Day with them! We even got a four-generation picture with Isaac, daddy, Grandpa Will, and great-grandpa Turley!
Father’s Day was also a special day for our family. We started the day with breakfast in bed for daddy (well, breakfast that was presented in bed and then eaten in the kitchen because daddy doesn’t like food in the bedroom!) and then we went as a family to church.
After church, we went up to Nonnie and Grandpa’s to celebrate the holiday with our extended family. It was fun to see so many of them and to have a delicious barbecue for dinner!
We sure love celebrating holidays together, especially holidays focused on family like Mother’s Day and Father’s Day. Isaac has made these holidays even more special, and these “first” holidays we spent together as a family were wonderful!
