It’s been a busy few months as we await our sweet baby girl, but we’ve certainly made the most of it!  Here are some of the fun things we’ve been up to…

We took a trip to Burley the week after Christmas and Isaac loved visiting our family up there!  We spent time relaxing, puzzling, eating, talking, staying up late, sharing memories, and playing, playing, playing!

We decided to have some last-minute festivities for New Year’s Eve and some of our neighbors came over.  It was fun!  We then visited with family and had lunch at Grandma and Grandpa Turley’s on New Year’s Day.

Isaac loved playing at the gym to celebrate Hadlee’s birthday!

We were able to attend an endowment session at the Mount Timpanogos temple.  The Church made some significant changes to the session at the start of the year, and the temples have been so busy as a result.  It was wonderful to attend together and be in such a special place.

Porter was ordained a deacon and given the Aaronic Priesthood, and Tom was the one who ordained him.  It was a very special day and afterward, we had a luncheon at his home.  It was a beautiful and memorable day.  Isaac especially loved being around his cousins and Tom even got in on the fun, too!  🙂

McKay (Carl’s son) got married and we were able to attend their reception and see some of our family from out of town.  We love when we have a reason for our extended families to get together!

Tom went skiing with Jeff up at SnowBasin.  The weather was perfect and the snow was absolutely beautiful!

Brooke had her eighth birthday and was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  It was a very special day and Tom was able to confirm her with the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Grandpa Bill had to have surgery and we visited him while he was in the hospital.  So glad he’s doing better now!

We had fun celebrating Emma’s 5th birthday!  Emma came to lunch on campus on her actual birthday, and then on Saturday we had a party at the Provo pool and pizza after at the Clarks!

We had a baby shower for Danielle to celebrate her and Baby Dylan!

I took a cookie decorating class!  It’s something I’ve always wanted to do and it was so much fun!

Baby Dylan was born!  She was born the day between her mom and dad’s birthdays, so that was fun!  It was a really special day and I was able to be there to witness it.  The miracle of birth is indeed that — such a miracle!

We signed up for a “mommy and me” swim class.  It was so much fun and Isaac did great!

I attended my friend Pami’s baby shower.  She had her sweet baby, Hader, very early and so he spent the first couple months of his life in the hospital.  Thankfully though, he’s doing great and will be able to go home soon!  It was neat to be able to celebrate Pami and her sweet miracle baby.  (Pami is also from Italy, so that’s a fun connection!)

For International Women’s Day, I got to be highlighted by a few companies — Journee Shoes, KNS, and Avalaunch Media — for a campaign called “In Her Shoes.”  They gave me a free pair of shoes, posted an article about me on their blog, and even had us do a photo shoot!  Since we were getting official pics done, we essentially used these as our maternity pics.  It worked out great and was so fun!

Caitlyn got married to her sweetheart Brandon!  It was such a fun day that we weren’t sure if we would make it to, but Baby Girl decided to stay in mommy’s tummy and so we were able to go!

On the Spring Equinox, we thought it would be fun to test out the theory that the earth is at just the right place for an egg to balance on it’s end.  It totally worked!

Daddy and Isaac spent some time taking silly pictures… We love this little guy so much!

Winter and spring have definitely been great, but we are excited to become a family of four in the very near future and officially meet our sweet baby girl!
