The year 2020 seems exciting for some reason — a new year, a new decade, and a double name (two 20’s). Hopefully it’s a good one!
The month of January definitely has us off to an interesting start — we enjoyed the first few days and all the fresh snow. Isaac absolutely loves playing outside! Zoey was a little unsure at first, but slowly she’s come to love it as well!
Mommy and daddy even enjoyed a nice run on New Year’s Day — the air was so clear and beautiful!
A couple weeks into the month though, our sweet babies started to get sick. Zoey came down with what seemed like a cold, and then Isaac came down with it. Unfortunately Zoey didn’t seem to be getting better, so we took her to the doctor to get her checked. Poor thing had a double ear infection! Even though she wasn’t feeling well, she is still such a sweetheart!
A few days later, we had to make another visit to the doctor since little Z broke out in a hive and was having an allergic reaction to medication. Ugh — our poor little angel!
A few days after that, little Zo-Zo was still not getting better, despite being on medication. She even spiked a fever of over 105 on a Sunday morning, so we decided to take her into the hospital. Our poor little angel. She was a champ, though. Lots of tests and poking and prodding later, they determined she likely had pneumonia. Man, it’s been a rough go for our sweet girl! Thankfully after another couple weeks though, our sweet angel is doing better. She’s tough and can handle anything life throws at her!
Here are some of the other things we did this month, to wrap up what has been a crazy first month of the year!
Visiting mommy’s doctor and getting to see baby brother in an ultrasound!
Daddy presenting at his work conference in Boston, since he was part of the biggest deal the company closed in 2019 — way to go, daddy!
Mommy attending a work conference in Florida, which was much more fun last year when daddy was able to go with her!
What a month it’s been! We are really looking forward to the rest of 2020 and what this year will hold for our little family — hopefully with all of us healthy!
