Last weekend was General Conference, and it was so special to be able to share it together.  We were joking that last Conference we didn’t even know each other, and this Conference we were watching it as husband and wife!  It’s amazing how quickly things can change and yet how awesome life can be in ways we couldn’t have imagined.

Two weekends ago, I was able to the General Women’s Meeting with my mom, sister, and some of the Clarks.  My parents moved back to Utah about a month ago, and it was fun to be able to attend this women’s meeting together!

Saturday morning of Conference weekend (April 1-2, 2017) we watched the first session together at home and then decided to go on a walk up the canyon.  It was so beautiful and peaceful!  It’s one of my favorite places to go (the Provo River Trail) and it was neat to be able to share it with Tom.

We then went to the store and then listened to the start of the Saturday afternoon session while we were driving home (and stopping at the car wash!).  After the Saturday afternoon session, we drove up to Farmington so Tom could go to priesthood session with his brother, Jeff, and his nephew, Dawson.  I spent time with Kelly and the kids while they were gone, and we had a nice visit!

When the guys got back from priesthood, we were outside cooking dinner on the grill.  There was an awesome sunset, so we asked Jeff to take a picture of us… This is what we got!

Here are the pics we actually got of us, though Paige couldn’t help but photobomb a few!

The next morning we watched Music and the Spoken Word, as has become our Sunday morning tradition, and made breakfast while we prepared for the Sunday morning session of Conference.  The day before we were trying to figure out something delicious to make and we came up with the idea of breakfast sandwiches… They were probably the best breakfast sandwiches we’d ever had!

After the morning session, we headed up to Salt Lake to attend the afternoon session at the Conference Center.  Saturday had been a really beautiful, sunny day, but Sunday was quite the opposite.  It was raining and stormy, so we took our umbrella and coats and thankfully managed to stay mostly dry.

Inside the Conference Center, it was so beautiful!  The colored lighting they had behind the choir was stunning, and we were able to get a few pictures before the session started.

After the session, we met up with Tom’s niece Dawson and his girlfriend Tana.  Thankfully it had stopped raining, but it was still pretty chilly!  It was great to see them and it’s fun to see just how much Tom is loved as an uncle!

We then went to have dinner with my family (after getting stuck in some pretty awful post-Conference traffic getting out of Salt Lake) and decided to walk around the Provo temple after.  It was a great weekend and we’re so grateful for the chance we had to listen to our Church leaders!  (Extra bonus for this weekend… The prophet announced a new temple in Saratoga Springs, which is where we just bought a home!  So exciting!)
