Well just like that… We bought a house!  And actually NOT just like that… It was an insanely crazy process!  It all came together though and on Monday, May 1st, we closed on our new home!  We’d been looking ever since we got married, and we finally found the perfect home in Saratoga Springs.  We’d looked all over Utah County, and we even put in an offer on another home but it had already sold.  After that we were a little discouraged, thinking we’d not find another home as great, but sure enough we did and in fact it was even better!  We put in an offer and about two months later — and after some crazy drama — it was ours!

We worked with Rick and Susan Trapp to get the home, and they were wonderful!  We are so grateful to them for sticking with us through the crazy process and helping us get into our perfect home!

After we signed the papers and got the keys, we went out to the house to look around.  It was so fun to be there and know that it’s ours!  We then decided to go to a celebratory dinner, but by the time we left, all the nearby restaurants were closed.  We were pretty hungry so we decided to stop at the same awesome place we had dinner the night we got married — Taco Bell!  As we were eating, we noticed one of the hot sauce packets said “Just the beginning…” which felt appropriate for the evening!  (I actually went to Taco Bell with my sister the next day while Tom was out of town and she was helping me pack, and our experience with the hot sauce packet the night before led me to send Tom a whole story made out of packets!)

We’ve been busy buying lots of fun new things for our home, including lots of new furniture from RC Willey and even a new barbecue grill!  We officially moved in on Saturday, May 6th — big thanks to everyone who came to help!  We’re not fully unpacked yet, but things are coming along and we are absolutely loving it!  We are so excited to have our new home and are looking forward to raising our family here and creating lots and lots and lots of memories!
