The year 2018 definitely started off strong for us with our European holiday, and since then we’ve pretty much stayed close to home and tried to prepare for Baby B’s arrival!  Things haven’t slowed down much though and we’ve been pretty busy.  Here are some of the fun memories we’ve made during the first few months of this new year!

Saturday, January 20th was Hadlee’s third birthday party.  It was at the Gymnastics Training Center and as usual, it was a blast!  I was responsible for the cake, and amazingly I was able to make sure it arrived in one piece!  The day of the party was one of the worst snow storms we’ve had in Utah this year, but thankfully we were all safe and sound in everything we did — including transporting a seriously delicate cake!  During the day, the twins, mom, and I went to Alicia Green Brown’s baby shower while Tom went skiing with his brother Jeff and nephew Porter, and then we all met up at Hadlee’s party.  I wasn’t able to do much at the gym because of Baby B, but Tom sure had a good time and was even showing everyone up with his mad skills! 🙂

Toward the end of January, Tom had to travel to Boston for a week-long work conference, and he was definitely missed!  We feel pretty fortunate as a married couple that we love spending every moment together and don’t love being apart, so even one night away is tough let alone five!  Thankfully we kept ourselves busy and the week passed fairly quickly.  One of the nights I went with my family to the Midway Ice Castles and they were amazing!  We’ll definitely be going next year when Tom can be with us — and Baby B!

With Baby B’s arrival quickly approaching, we had a baby shower to celebrate!  It was fun to have so many people come and celebrate with us, people from all areas of our lives.  It was a great day and we are incredibly thankful for the effort that was put into making it special (especially by Danielle, Chantelle, and Mom Turley).  It was seriously a perfect day!

Here are some other random memories from the last few months — we’ve sure been having a good and busy time!

Speaking at UVU as part of the Utah Women in Leadership Project’s event, “Conversations that Matter: Making an Impact in Your Community” and at BYU for a Marriott School event — Tom is so good to always go with me and support me!

Being honored by Utah Valley Magazine as one of their “Fab40” for 2018…

Taking Emma to dinner for her fourth birthday — she chose Carl’s Junior because of the playground!

Visiting Mom Bowcut in Burley, Idaho one last time before Baby B arrives and stopping at World Market in Farmington for Clearly Canadians!  We also went to Settebello for lunch, and Tom actually was impressed with their Italian food and pizza!

Taking a few more “bumpies” along the way as Baby B continues to grow and grow!  (For some reason I always think to take these while in the bathroom at work… Kind of awkward, but it’s better than not having any pictures of this big bump! 😉

It’s sure been a fun few months, and it’s crazy to think that Baby B will be here next month!  Life is definitely going to change for us, but we’re sure looking forward to this next chapter of our life!
