We had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday this year.  There is so much to be thankful for!  We loved spending it in Burley with our little guy and being able to visit with family.

The first night we arrived in Burley (Wednesday night) our little guy was so excited to see Grandma Helen!  He’s getting so big and it was fun to show grandma how well he sits up and is able to move around.

After changing into jammies, we were able to get some dinner before heading to bed.

Our little guy doesn’t love sleeping in places that aren’t his home, and unfortunately he woke up in the middle of the night throwing up.  We were finally able to get him back to sleep though, and he was still such a happy baby throughout the craziness!

Thanksgiving morning, mommy and daddy each did a workout while our little guy took a much-needed nap (daddy went running and mommy did her prenatal cardio) and then we helped grandma cook to get ready for dinner.  Our little guy had a special outfit just for Thanksgiving, and he looked so darn cute!

We were able to sneak in some family photos before dinner.  It was actually a really beautiful day and it was fun to get pictures outside!

Dinner was delicious — Grandma Helen is a wonderful cook!  Even Isaac got his own special Thanksgiving dinner. 🙂 It was a delicious meal!

After having dinner, we took dinner to Uncle Lanny, who was working an all-day shift at the ER.  We were glad to be able to visit with him and spread some Thanksgiving cheer!

The next day, we spent time relaxing around the house.  Our little guy loves being in Burley at grandma’s house — it’s one of the happiest places to be!

We went out and did a little shopping in the early evening, just to be able to really experience “Black Friday.”  It wasn’t too bad because we’d missed the morning rush, but we were still able to find a few good deals!  Our most exciting purchase was some Dowdle Christmas puzzles at Costco… Isaac really wanted to help with them when we got home!

Unfortunately our little guy woke up in the middle of the night throwing up again, so  the next day he took a much needed (and pretty long) nap.  Thankfully we don’t think he’s got the flu, because he was still so happy and energetic!  We’ve been feeding him more real foods lately, so that could be why his tummy gets a little upset.  We’re just grateful he’s in good health generally!

We were able to visit with Aunt Vee for a little bit before we left.  It’s always good to see her and hear about the wonderful family history work she’s doing!

It was a wonderful weekend with family and we loved being able to reflect on our blessings.  We have so much to be grateful for, especially our little guy and our new little baby girl.  The Lord is so good to us and we hope to be able to express our gratitude on Thanksgiving and every day!
