This past weekend we were able to bless our sweet baby girl. Tom gave Zoey a beautiful blessing on Sunday in our church meetings (it was also the first Sunday he was conducting the meeting as a new member of the bishopric. She did great, even waving to the audience right after, and it was special to experience with so many wonderful friends and family!
Afterward we had a nice luncheon at our home and everyone enjoyed eating and holding Zoey on her special day.
One special thing about Zoey’s blessing day was that she wore the same dress that I wore at my blessing and that my mom (her Grandma Joan) wore at her blessing. It was quite a miracle that we still have the dress after all these years and that we were able to find it. It was amazing and so wonderful to be able to share this tradition! Hopefully Zoey will want to share it with her daughter someday. 🙂
It was wonderful to have so many friends and family come support us at the blessing, especially Zoey’s grandparents. She is so loved already and it was a very special day!
