The weekend of Saturday, March 17th and Sunday, March 18th, our area had stake conference.  It was a wonderful experience for so many reasons, the biggest of which was a visit by the prophet, President Nelson!

The year 2018 definitely started off strong for us with our European holiday, and since then we’ve pretty much stayed close to home and tried to prepare for Baby B’s arrival!  Things haven’t slowed down much though and we’ve been pretty busy.  Here are some of the fun memories we’ve made during the first few months of this new year!

To say this last year has been great would be an understatement!  When we got married on February 17, 2017, we couldn’t have imagined all the wonderful memories the coming year would bring.  But here we are — one year later — and this past year has been simply a dream come true!

For some of the last few days of our trip, we took the kids up to Bardonecchia, a ski town in the Alps that was used for part of the Torino Olympics. We’re so grateful for each moment we shared and each memory we made, and we look forward to many more fun times together!  It was sad to see it end, but also nice to know it’s not our last trip to Italy!

For New Year’s Eve (and the few days surrounding it) we took off for a few days on our own in France.  We visited a few cities along the French Riveria and it was awesome!  We recognize we won’t have much time together, just the two of us, for a very long time after the baby is born, so it was fun to be able to enjoy some time alone!

Probably some of the most fun days of our trip were when we took the kids to Gardaland and Verona!  We were able to take the kids overnight for a couple nights, and it was great to have some dedicated time together.

We were able to spend a day and a half visiting Milan, which was beautiful.  This is the city where Tom served his mission and it was neat to hear about so many of the memories he had there.  The city has changed a bit, but overall I think he enjoyed being there as well and sharing some special moments together.

For Christmas this year, we decided to go to Italy to spend the holidays with Matthew and Emily.  This was my first trip to Italy and it was definitely one to remember!  We really packed in as much as we could to each day, and it was a super busy two weeks!

Christmas is without a doubt our favorite holiday, and this year was crazy and busy but wonderful at the same time!  Here are some of the memorable moments we shared during “the most wonderful time of the year.”

This year we held Thanksgiving in a few parts — first, with the immediate Turley family on the actual holiday, next with the extended Turley family the weekend after Thanksgiving, and finally with Mom Bowcut up in Burley at the beginning of December.  Each celebration was special and unique and we truly have so much to be grateful for!
