After a week apart, it was absolutely wonderful to finally be back together!  It was made even better by all the amazing birthday surprises that Tom had planned.  It was absolutely one of the best weekends of my life and most definitely the best birthday — I shouldn’t be too surprised though because I have the best husband in the world! 🙂

The week of June 11th through June 17th we were apart and it was so hard! Absence makes the heart grow fonder though, and we really were quite excited to see each other at the end of the week!

On Friday, June 9th we made all my 10-year-old fan girl dreams come true by going to the New Kids on the Block and Paula Abdul concert!  It was AWESOME and so much fun!  My parents came with us and we had a great time!

For Memorial Day weekend, we decided to go to Burley to spend time with Mom Bowcut.  It was a beautiful weekend and we had a great time!

We sure enjoy our time together and we DEFINITELY take a lot of pictures! Here are some of the fun things we’ve done lately!

Tom turned the big 4-0 this month, so of course we had to celebrate! We had two celebrations — a surprise party and a quick trip to Vegas. It was so much fun celebrating him all week!

Well just like that… We bought a house! And actually NOT just like that… It was an insanely crazy process! It all came together though and on Monday, May 1st, we closed on our new home!

Our final part of our cross-country trip consisted of mostly driving, but we still managed to have some fun along the way!

Our last few stops on our Church history tour were Independence, Missouri, Liberty Jail, and Winter Quarters in Omaha, Nebraska.

Thursday began at Carthage Jail, which was an incredibly powerful experience. We also visited Nauvoo and spent quite a few hours there enjoying the history.
