This past weekend we had the opportunity to travel to Chicago.  Tom had some business meetings and I accompanied him on the trip.  We had such a great time exploring this very cool city and eating some amazing food along the way!

This year we decided to take a summer vacation as a family, and it was so much fun!  Not sure if vacation is the right thing to call it, as with two little babies there wasn’t much rest or vacationing going on!  We sure had a great time though and look forward to more family vacations in the future!

We’re officially a family of four!  Though most of our time lately has been spent adjusting to having two kiddos, we have managed to still have some fun along the way!  

Birthdays are definitely special days for us, though every day we spend together is special, too!  We certainly made some memories on our birthdays this year though — here’s what we did!

This past weekend we were able to bless our sweet baby girl. It was wonderful to have so many friends and family come support us at the blessing, especially Zoey’s grandparents.  She is so loved already and it was a very special day!

Our sweet Zoey is officially one week old today, and to celebrate we wanted to share her birth story!  This was such a special experience for us and we are excited to have recorded this for our baby girl to look back on and read throughout her life!

After quite a few scares that she’d come early, and then her decision to fake us out and come long after we thought she would — our sweet little girl is officially here! 

It’s been a busy few months as we await our sweet baby girl, but we’ve certainly made the most of it!  Here are some of the fun things we’ve been up to…

Our two-year anniversary was Sunday, February 17, and Tom went above and beyond to make it a special weekend.  I am so grateful for his thoughtfulness and it was a weekend we never want to forget!

The day after Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Tom had a scheduled meeting in Houston, so we decided to go together and make a weekend getaway out of it. It was so much fun and we had a blast!
