Last summer Tom hiked Mount Timpanogos with his brother Jeff and friend Spencer, and ever since, he’s been wanting to make it an annual tradition. This summer flew by for us, but toward the end of August, we thought it was something that we really should do (and thereby make it an annual event!). We set a date and decided to hike Timp on Saturday, September 1st. It was quite the hike, but at the end of the day, we loved the feeling of accomplishment we got from literally climbing the mountain in front of us!
The month of July is one of our favorites because it’s filled with two really fun holidays, Independence Day and Pioneer Day. Both were full and fun for us… We love making new memories as a family!
Mother’s Day and Father’s Day were extra special for our little family this year, since we had our sweet little Isaac to celebrate with us! We’ve felt so honored to be this little guy’s parents and it’s fun to have these wonderful holidays to reflect on the special parent-child relationship!
This past weekend we were able to bless our sweet baby boy. It was just a couple days after our temple sealing, so it made for an incredibly special weekend!
On Friday, June 8, 2018, we were sealed together as an eternal family in the Salt Lake Temple. It was one of the most special days our family has ever shared and we are so grateful for the opportunity to have had this wonderful blessing!
An important and interesting part of Isaac’s birth story is how our little man got his name! He actually didn’t have a name for the first couple days of his life, but in the end we believe we decided on a name that was meant for him!
Our little man is officially one week old today, and to celebrate we wanted to share his birth story! This was such a special experience for us and we are excited to have recorded this for our little guy to look back on and read throughout his life!
After nine months of waiting — and many months before that of hoping — our little boy officially arrived on April 11, 2018! Isaac Thomas Bowcut was born at 8:54pm, weighing 8 pounds 3 ounces and measuring 20 inches long after a really amazing delivery, and we are so grateful that things went so well.
As we prepare to “spring” into a new chapter of our lives this Spring (get the pun?!), we’ve been trying to enjoy every moment together and make as many memories as we can. We realize that it won’t be just the two of us again for a very long time, so we’re soaking up our last few days together. It has been a blast and we’ve had a great time!
This pregnancy has been so special and wonderful, a gift that I wasn’t sure I’d ever have in this life, and so we wanted to document it through an official photo shoot.
